Archiving Policy

The Journal of Pharmacology and Drug Development (JPDD) is committed to the permanent preservation and long-term accessibility of all scholarly content published. We ensure the digital integrity of our publications for future generations of researchers and readers.

Our archiving strategy includes the following components:

1. Publisher and National Archives

To ensure the security and long-term stability of our content, JPDD uses multiple archiving platforms:

  • Journal Website: All published articles are immediately and permanently archived on the JPDD journal website, hosted by Al-Nahrain University.

  • Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ): As a key part of our preservation strategy, all published content is also deposited in the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ) database. This national platform provides a secure, long-term archive for all Iraqi scholarly publications, enhancing visibility and ensuring preservation.

2. Author Self-Archiving (Green Open Access)

JPDD fully supports authors' rights to archive and share their work. As all articles are published under a CC BY 4.0 license, authors are free to self-archive their articles in any repository or on any website.

Authors may archive any version of their paper:

  • Submitted Version (Pre-print): Authors can post their original submitted manuscript on personal websites, in institutional repositories, or on pre-print servers.

  • Accepted Version (Post-print): Authors can post the final, peer-reviewed, and accepted manuscript.

  • Published Version (Version of Record): Authors are strongly encouraged to archive the final, formatted PDF version of their article immediately upon publication.

When self-archiving, we request that authors provide a full citation and a link to the final published article on the JPDD website to ensure the Version of Record is properly acknowledged.
